Vibrating mesh technology
Pocket-sized nebulizers that push medication through thousands of micro-holes to form a fine mist. No compressor, no noise.
Principle
Compressor nebulizers break medication apart with pressurised air. Mesh technology passes it through a plate whose holes are many times finer than a human hair. The result is a smaller, quieter, more consistent device.
How it works
FIG. 02Cross-section
A piezoelectric ring vibrates the mesh plate hundreds of thousands of times per second.
Thousands of tapered holes split the medication into droplets of even size with every pulse.
What comes out is a mist of droplets a few microns across. No heat, no high pressure.

Questions
Compressor nebulizers use pressurised air to create the aerosol, which makes them larger and louder. Mesh devices use a vibrating, micro-perforated plate: smaller, quieter and able to run on batteries.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist whether your medication is suitable for a mesh device. Some suspensions and oil-based medications may not be compatible with the mesh plate.
It depends on how often you use it and how you clean it. Follow the guidance in the manual, and replace the head if you notice a clear drop in output.
